The course is delivered to the International Electrotechnical Commission Standard: – IEC-60079 (Parts 19 and 17) and EN 13463 (ATEX Mechanical Equipment)
INTENDED AUDIENCE:
Engineers, technicians and supervisory staff involved in the selection, installation or maintenance of rotating equipment in potentially hazardous areas.
PREREQUISITES:
None required. However most suitable for engineering personnel employed in the oil/gas /chemical industries
Proposed maximum 10 delegates per course.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Ignition sources in hazardous areas are responsible for loss of life and long term production downtime within the Oil & Gas industry each year.
Upon completion of this course and provision of a successful assessment, the candidate will possess the skills necessary to be capable of safely inspecting and maintaining rotating equipment in potentially hazardous areas.
